Health is of utmost importance. All health testing of the parents are completed before a breeding takes place. Test results are posted to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) website for potential new owners to view.

From newborn puppies to the time they go home, they are raised in our home. Puppies are whelped in our Master Bedroom. At day 3, Early Neurological Stimulation is performed. This will go thru day 16. I also incorporate The Rules of Seven into our puppy raising protocol. Puppies are handled on a daily basis.

As the puppies age, they are introduced to new sounds, smells, objects and lots of car rides to help them learn and adjust. We introduce new toys and sounds every couple of days. they have Enrichment items, things to crawl on, under and through.

We take our puppies out into the community to hear sounds of everyday life. They meet new people, learn to be comfortable in a car and to adjust to new things. At seven weeks of age, we administer the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test. We do this to assure that our puppies are placed in the right homes for them.
